Christchurch - 3/4 May 

On Saturday 3rd May 2025, Kurt from SydSquad, along with a few of the SydSquad behind-the-scenes-crew

and moderators, are traveling to Christchurch Airport in New Zealand for some plane-spotting FUN.

This short return trip is purely an opportunity to fly on an A380, and to experience a weekend away at a different airport.

 

Kurt is travelling on the following Emirates A380 flights.

After arrival and hotel check-in, join Kurt at "The Mound" - plane-spotting location, at the Western end of

Harewood Rd, for a few hours watching planes and hopefully to see the departure of the Emirates A380 back to SYD.

A Meet-and-Greet dinner has been organised for 7:30pm Saturday evening at the

Spitfire Lone Star Restaurant on the airport precinct. The booking is under Kurt.

Sunday 4th May is your chance to enjoy some free time before meeting at the boarding

gate for the return Emirates A380 flight back to Sydney that evening.
